access_timeThu, May 28, 2020
The Sashbear Foundation and Alberta Health Services are pleased to offer FAMILY CONNECTIONS™ a scientifically proven, skills-based program delivered over 12 weeks. The program is based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and is designed specifically for family members and friends of those struggling with emotional dysregulation (intense feelings of sadness, shame, anger, anxiety, impulsivity, mood swings and/or suicidal ideation). Delivered by trained peer facilitators who have “lived experience” using these skills in their own families, the program teaches practical coping and communication skills to help participants regain balance and manage emotional reactions to challenging situations more effectively.
This program will take place from on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30PM, extending from March 26th to June 11th 2020 at the Johnstone Crossing Community Health Centre in Red Deer. To register for the program, or learn more about other upcoming program dates, please visit the event website: https://sashbear.wildapricot.org/AB-Groups-Upcoming/
Once you indicate interest in a session, the Sashbear Foundation Team will ask you to confirm your ability to attend all program dates. Once you reply to that email, you will be registered in a class.
